Last night we enjoyed music at The Jazz Room. Matt Lemmler played piano and sang his compositions in honor of Steve Wonder. Matt led an 11 piece band and there were three guest vocalists.
When the crowd roared for an encore, they graciously played another. Also, Matt explained that in New Orleans the crowd would ask for a lagniappe.

These are solar panel trees found on top of a parking garage in Uptown Charlotte. We recently went to the IMAX theater, at the Discovery Place. While there we used the electric vehicle charger which was powered by these solar panels.

My work teammates and I enjoyed a baseball game last night. The weather was great, the beer was refreshing, the game was fast paced, the view was awesome, and the conversation was enjoyable.

Today’s photo shows one of my favorite breakfast restaurants. Halfpenny’s which is located in Two Wells Fargo Center. I recommend egg whites with turkey bacon on a whole wheat English muffin.

Today’s photo shows the YMCA on a quite Sunday afternoon. This branch is in Uptown Charlotte and is connected to the Overstreet Mall and all of the office towers. As a results on weekdays the scene is much busier.

Last weekend our grandson visited and we had an adventure at the Discovery Place. We enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit, our grandson played with the dinosaurs in augmented reality, dug for bones, launched a meteorite, and was inspired by an iMax movie call dream big.
Oh, and they had a tyrannosaurus, in a box, which was making lots of noise ;)

The Starbucks, on East Blvd, is one of our favorite. The flowers and deck add a nice touch. The barista knows us and the drinks are addictive;)

We eat at the Ashbury because they have great food. That and we like their bar.
But today there was an extra treat of art by Fonda Doerre. Personally I was very impress with her paintings of barns.

The AIDS Walk was a colorful event. I was especially pleased with volunteers handing our water and snacks to the walkers.
The AIDS Walk Charlotte website states that $147,000+ has been raised.
