We are sharing another photo from Amelies, one of our favorite restaurants. Notice the tree hanging from the ceiling.
Following is a link to the Amelies French Bakery and Cafe website. The address is 380 South College street.
This photo was at taken in the parking lot of a restaurant we frequent. We enjoyed our meal knowing we were dinning with a peace loving soul that camps, cares for animals, and loves his/her mother.
This photo was taken in the parking lot of Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, at 1626 East Boulevard in Dilworth which is near Uptown Charlotte.
Today’s photo shows one of my favorite breakfast restaurants. Halfpenny’s which is located in Two Wells Fargo Center. I recommend egg whites with turkey bacon on a whole wheat English muffin.
Following is a link to Yelp reviews for Halfpennys which is located at 301 S. Tryon.
We eat at the Ashbury because they have great food. That and we like their bar.
But today there was an extra treat of art by Fonda Doerre. Personally I was very impress with her paintings of barns.
This photo was taken at 235 North Tryon. Following is a link to the Ashbury Restaurant website. Following is a link to an article about Chef Matthew Krenz winning Chef of the Year award. The best in the state.
Also, following is a link to Fonda Doerre’s website.
We went out on Cinco De Mayo and quickly realized the crowds were too thick. So we came back today for brunch and we the only patrons ;)
Actually, although they serve brunch, the Hot Taco is more of a bar scene for those that enjoy a crowd.
This photo was taken at 200 East Bland in the South End. Following is a link to the Hot Taco website.
Our preference is to enjoy the Dandelion Market on Sunday afternoons when the bar is quite. However for those in search of a crowd the time to go is Friday or Saturday night. They also have a big crowd at brunch. Maybe because if the Bloody Mary bar ;)
This photo was taken at 118 West 5th Street in Uptown Charlotte. Following is a link to the Dandelion Market website. Be sure and check out the menu. They offer “everything at the Market” for $295
On Saint Patrick’s day there were lines of people in green. This photo shows a line of hungry people at the Halal Food Cart.
There were also lines, at the entrance of every bar. Thirsty people in green ;)
This photo was taken at the intersection of Trade and Tryon.
This was a quick snap in the Latta Arcade. It is a good place to grab lunch. Also, the old photos on the wall are enjoyable. However, the most enjoyable aspect is found at the end the arcade … it opens on to an open air pavilion which is lined with bars.
This photo was taken at 320 South Tryon.
Today was overcast and rainy. A stay inside sort of day. So for our outing we strolled through the Overstreet Mall to Amalie’s.
From the photo, you can see that Amalie’s is fun and eclectic.
As regulars we recommend Amalie’s for the atmosphere, wine, food, and for their baguettes. Oh, and their pastries a very good too.
Amalie’s French Baker is at 380 South College.
Seriously, this is the line to order at Johnny Burrito in Uptown Charlotte. And the line is just as long every day of the week.
Their tag line is Putting the Heat on the Street. And they have been named Charlotte’s BEST Burrito by everyone!
Johnny Burrito is at 301 South Tryon suite 55
