Life goes on and people are still enjoying Uptown Charlotte. As shown in today’s photo; people are posing for photos at popular sites such that the Fire Bird in front of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. The Fire Bird is made from mirrors and is affectionately known as “Disco Chicken” by area residents.

What I like most about this photo is the couple in the background.

parking enforcement

Life goes on and you will get a ticket if you park illegally in Uptown. The next few days will be a mini series showing people in my photos. We will see that even though the office towers are empty life does go on. Just at a different pace.

Another nuance, of life during the pandemic, is that our cars are not washed as often as they have in the past.

Today’s photo shows a common scene in Uptown Charlotte. A family enjoying an outing and with sweet drinks in hand. Also, shown are couples strolling at safe distances between one another. And , of course, most of us wear mask.

Note the restaurant in the background. We have eaten at B. Good and the food had roots. Also, a link has been included for today’s photo saved on Flickr with the caption A family enjoying an outing in Uptown Charlotte.

women’s march

Charlotte's women's march was a family affair
I was pleased that parents brought their children to the Women’s March today. This will be something the kids remember for the rest of their lives. I’ll remember it as well. The crowd was diverse in gender, race, culture religion, age, and cause … but today we were all women saying women’s rights are human rights.

Personally, I marched because president trump needs to told that the sexual assault, he bragged about, is reprehensible.

This photo was taken at 300 S Church St in Romare Bearden Park. Following is a website for the Women’s March on Charlotte.
