le Meridien
This photo, of the le Meridien hotel, was taken because of the unique design on the side of the building. The hotel is associated with the Marriott Bonvoy and can be found at 555 South McDowell Street.
crane lift
Recently I walked under a crane lift and took this photo. The street was closed to auto traffic but open to foot traffic. A very interesting perspective however I question my wisdom for stopping to take the photo :)

The Charlotte lite rail system has a public service message which caught my eye. The message is “Tracks are not for photos!”. Note that I am not encouraging the behavior by also sharing the sign which encourages “Live on the Edge”.
In addition to sharing the public service message I am sharing a second photo which shows the popular Rail Trail which is next to the lite rail tracks. My wife and I, along which many others, enjoy walking the Rail Trail.

This photo was taken a week ago when the CIAA basketball tournament was in town. Lowes was making an advertising pitch to the hoops fans in town. The location is the Epicenter which has the highest concentration of party spots in town.

peaches in the pink
We made a short trip recently and stopped at a Starbooks in Fort Mill South Carolina, just outside of Charlotte. This photo shows a peach orchard at Baxter Towne Center which has a village look and feel. If we did not live in Uptown Charlotte this would be my second of third choice.

This photo was taken on the Rail Trail in the South End of Charlotte. The photo is of a temporary art exhibit and is called the Passage. As a person walks through the passage they are surrounded by lights and sound.

Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
On a recent evening stroll, in Uptown Charlotte, this photo was taken. The building is the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. We especially enjoy the Jazz concerts held the first Friday of each month.

This photo shows a staircase mural at a restaurant we very much enjoy. Dressler’s has outstanding food and service. In addition they have outdoor music and a view of Uptown Charlotte.

equity
While strolling through Uptown Charlotte this mural caught my eye and as a result this photo is being shared. I love the message of “equity”. The quality of being fair and impartial.
The mural can be found near UNC Charlotte City Center. The address is 320 E 9th St.
Museum Tower apartments
On a walk, through Uptown Charlotte, this scene caught my eye. The flowering tree is in a small park called the Green. The building, in the background, is the Museum Tower apartments. The apartments are built on top of the Mint Museum.
On a personal note. The Green is next to the condos we live in. As a result this is a scene we enjoy regularly.

Marshall Park
This photo shows the Charlotte skyline as seen from Marshall Park. The buildings in the skyline are; Duke Energy Center, Museum Tower apartments, Three Wells Fargo, One Wells Fargo, Two Wells Fargo, Charlotte Plaza, Hyatt Place/Skye Condo, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, and Bank of America Corporate Center.
The photo was taken last weekend on a walk from Uptown, to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, then along East Boulevard, to the light Rail Trail, and back to Uptown.

This photo was taken last weekend on a walk from Uptown, along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, East Boulevard , and the Rail Trail in the South End. This photo was take next to the bridge crossing the traffic loop around uptown. The buildings in the background are the Bank of America Tower, the Duke Energy Center, and the Alley building.
